Default Humming at idle?

There is a constant almost musical note humming audible from the inside of the vehicle.

Its
- Only at idle / Little to no throttle input.
- goes away when i step on the gas.
- Sometimes it just goes away at idle as well all together.
- Drives me insane.

Sounded like it was coming from in the dash somewhere and I opened the hood and this part behind the ac was vibrating which seemed to be the source of the hum. Can someone help me identify this part or where the hum would be coming from (if not that) ??

Any help is appreciated. The truck is a 1996 F150 with the 5.8 and about 170k miles.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not familiar with Ford trucks of that vintage. Stand by, we have a lot of smart folks around here.

Check at the fuel tank(s). Maybe the hum is from the fuel pump.

I'm not personally familiar with it, but check out the second post at this thread https://www.fullsizebronco.com/threa...-noise.431210/
