I have a 1994 f150 xlt 4x4 automatic, and have a set of shortie headers for it. I was wondering if I should leave it as is or put them on. Have heard about ongoing problems once I do install them but don’t know if that’s just the people scaring me off and them just not wanting to do the install. Any tips?

 

I would leave it be unless the stock manifolds are damaged. The plenum support, coil bracket, and dipstick tube all attach to the stock manifolds, When I swapped to shorty headers on my bronco, the plenum support is the only thing I was able to reattach. Not to mention the high potential of having to deal with bolts snapping off in the head.
