The manual hubs have a retaining nut that requires a special tool. You should be able to get one from the local parts store.

im not 100 percent but i would amagine they should just pull off you may need to break it free with a pry bar or tap it with a hammer or try to loosen the shoes all the way with the adjuster behind the rotor im not sure that the hub would be fighting against you but again i could be wrong the rotors look pretty old and are prob just locked on with rust and what not good luck bud

There's a cotter pin and a castle nut in the middle usually and you would remove it and take a rubber hammer and pop the rotor off. Should be it.

No castle nut on a 4X4, I have not seen a f 150 with the smaller hub bolt pattern either, that looks like the 5 on 5.25 rim. You will need to use the proper socket to lock into the lock nut, looks like a 4 lug smooth socket to install the hub properly. You could use a flat screwdriver and a hammer to remove the hub just check the nut carefully afterward and replace if damaged.

Take off the locking hub cover. there will be a a large lock ring in a grove around the outer wall. take a small flathead get it under and pry it out. Then find the snap ring in the middle take it off with snap ring pliers. there will be another lock ring on the spindle once again you have to get a flathead under it. then the hub assembly should slide out. There will be a large locknut that will take a special socket to remove. then you must remove the wheel bearings (inner and outer and seal) along with the bearing races then you should be able to remove the rotor. if not take a deadblow hammer and see if you can break it free.

Kind of wierd how your lock out came off with the wheel like that.

In your picture of the hub, You see in the vrey center that circle with the
slots in it. you will need the the large wheel hub socket with the prongs that fit into those slots and turn that off and it will come off.
Usually there are two of them but often come off together.

Check your wheel bearing while your at it and replace if need be.

i dont know how bad your rotors are but you might have been able to save some money by simply machining them

Default the nut is a spanner nut

and the socket is a spanner nut socket. there is also a retainer clip on the drive shaft if u dont remove it it will shatter when u take the spanner nut off and the retainer clip holds the drive shaft centered and keeps it from wearing. u can get a new clip at a junk yard otherwise u have to buy a whole new locker assembly from ford and thats $160 cuz they dont sell the part separatly
