Default How do i fix this?

91 f150 4x4 4.9I6 egr tube cut., is there something I can use to quick fix if for now? I was told exhaust wrap and clamps etc. Any ideas?

Not sure if they make compression fittings that big but you can check.

Heater hose isn't meant for 500 degree applications. I call fire! I'm on board with the exhaust wrap and hose clamps for a temp fix.

If it's just the EGR tube why not replace it? They run about $50 new or a lot less at a pick and pull junkyard? I had to replace my whole EGR setup on my '90 to make her run right.

I haven't been able to find a new one yet and the ones I've found at the pick n pull yards are rusted to all hell. I'm gonna replace it when I have time to find one and put it on but I'm just looking for a temp fix right now

They make this extreme tape military spec that is rated for 600* or more. Clean it with sand paper and it on then put some kind of spline on it to hold it together. This should keep the carbon monoxide for killing you or anyone in the cab. Not sure what it is really called but they sell it by the roll at the auto store. This should be just a temporary fix.
