Default Horsepower

I have a 1994 F-150 with a 302 in it. I'm looking to eventually lift it but before I do I wanna give it some more horsepower. I'm not looking to poor all of my money into it but I want more than just a chip or something like that. It has a lot of miles at 212,000 so if you have any suggestions on where to start that would be great. Thanks

Start with the Exhaust and Intake...a truck with that many miles would do well with a rebuild but that will cost money. Try and find a header and exhaust kit for your year and an intake if they still make them...other than that your looking at a lot more money IMO.

Might possibly find a cheap 302 for your truck to buy and in your spare time and as money becomes available, start to slowly rebuild it.

These are about the only mods I'd recommend for a 212K engine. Ignition system upgrade w/ a moderate Base timing bump (+2 degrees BTDC= 12 BTDC), a K&N style drop in filter. Would not do much else w/o rebuilding. Both Mods can be carried over if/ when you do decide to do a rebuild.

An engine rebuild would be my suggestion, putting add-ons on a tired motor isn't going to get you what you want. It might look good and sound different but your putting your money in the wrong place.

Since the majority of you are suggesting a rebuild, would it be worth it to swap for a 351?

If you rebuild the 351 before swapping it in
