Default Hood Insulation

Does lmc sell underhood insulation?

Could I maybe find a obs diesel at jy to pull insulation from?

The objective would be to lower sound levels.

I you could probably get a obs mat. Or buy sound mat from LMC and do the whole cab and hood.

i think sound proofing the cab would have better results then getting a underhood mat.

Go to Lowes, get some peel and seal. Worked great on deadening my doors, and withstands heat pretty well. Install a couple layers under the good and you'll be good. Just clean the hood with alcohol and use a wooden roller to apply it. I didn't to some areas and it's sagging a little bit but I also didn't clean good as I was in a hurry.

Hush mat works great theres tons of peel and stick matting you can get for that, my friend used that rubber mat stuff for roofing and some gorrila glue that worked pretty well too smells like rubber on hot days though

the Under hood mat does not help to much for In cab sound...mabye on the outside?

I get a lot of air noise through my door seals, and if it's a particularly windy day my doors will actually shudder and vibrate. The seals look okay but maybe they aren't firm enough anymore

yeah my mirrors wisttle sometimes.
if your door is moving and shuttering your door is loose and might want to check the door pins might be time to change them and check the bolts if you ever removed the door? as for the mirriors they always vibrate on my truck there just junk when it comes to aerodynamics.

It seems like it's just the area around the window at the top of the door, not anywhere near the door pin. Like that part is flexing.

I doubt just that part is flexing its probably the top door pin that's loose. If you shut the door and can push the top part of the door out some easily i am sure its the door pin. you can check by opening the door all the way and lifting up on it. it moves up door pin.

you got to remember our trucks have the rough equivalent of a brick with 4 wheels and a notch cut out the back.

what mirrors do you got collector? if u got the black/chrome ones you can try tightening up the bolt on the end of the arm that goes to the inner door skin. the drivers mirror was moving alot on the 150 and i finally got sick of it, and that was my issue.
