Default hits hard in reverse!!!

so i have read that the e40d hits hard when shifted to reverse but the way mine engages it cant be normal! i did a full service on the trans and added lucas and it shifts alot better in drive but really jolts into reverse. any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. thanks

First thought is u-joints.

ya there all new. when i put it in reverse it moves like it should then right after hits hard. everything is solid in the drive train. its gotta be a sensor! i cant figure it out!
