Default Hitch

Will this fit my 88? Seems like a good price.

If not I was going to pick-up the bumper mount reciever from northern tool. Are these good for light hauling?

well the only info about it you gave us is that its for fords, so i have no idea if it would work. measure it to see if it will fit your truck.

It looks similiar to mine, but you'll have to have the person measure it and you measure your frame rails to see if it will fit. Mine was a bolt on but I still had to drill holes in the frame. Don't get the second one. I ripped off my bumper twice before I bought the receiver.

That is my point. The add says that it will fit 78 and up, nothing more. It doesnt indicate that it will fit any specific model. Are ,we'll say, all F150 frames 78-88 the same? So if it came off a 78 can we assume that it fits an 88 or are the frames where the hitch mounts different?

I'm only familiar with '80-'96. If the guy wants to sell it then he should have no problem grabbing a tape measure.

frame width changed in 1980. so if its for a 78, it wont fit your truck
