So I've got a 93 f150 5.0 4wd Auto tranny, I changed the tps and cleaned the throttle body and now it is idling anywhere from 1500-2000. Before I cleaned and changed these things it was idling at 1000. I've also unplugged all sensors connecting to the TB 1 at a time and none of them effected the idle. I've let it idle for probably 10 minutes and it hasn't came down any, also if I put it in gear it drops to a normal idle (1000). Any idea what the cause could be?

 

1000 still seems high for the idle RPM. I'm not very familiar with the V8's as my trucks all happened to have the inline 6, so I could be wrong. Does it surge at all? I'd start by checking for vacuum leaks near the throttle body and along your vacuum lines.
