okay i've been trying to decide on wheel and tire combinations and have been overwhelmed. I currently 31x10.5 and would like to go up a little in size because they look small on the truck. But I'm not sure what size to buy or any brands that are good I'm new to the upgrading and don't want to waste money on bad decsions so any help will be fully appreciated.

 

Is the truck lifted?

If not, 33's are about as big as you can fit without rubbing on things.

Some guys say the 33's rub, some don't. Seems like 31 or 32 is workable, 33 is questionable.

 

Okay so 33's fit sometimes, but how wide can i go with stock rims and no suspension or body lift.

 

I'm sure there are some guys who have had experience with various sizes who can help out here, but I'd think a 10.5" width would be about as far as I would go on the stock wheel.

 

i would go with a set of 32s.. on some like 10'' wide rims..

10.50 is the widest you can go with the stock 7.5 inch rim, BF Goodrich has some tire in 33 9.50 15 that you can mount on the stock rim and should not rub on except at full lock when the suspension is twisted.

 

i have 33 12.5 15's on stock rims, they rub like hell but i love it

 

It's not that you can't put a wide tire on a stock rim, it's the fact that the tire doesn't keep its shape correctly. The wide tire on a skinny rim will bulge in the middle like an overinflated tire.
