Im tryin to retrieve the codes to the truck and nothing happening. im puttin the jumper wire the correct way, its a 88 f150 5.0L v8. out of experimentation ( made up word ) i put the wire in every other possible connector. the truck does have a check engine light, and when i turn the key, truck not started and running the check engine light just stays on constantly. when i start the truck it just stays off. Any reason why?
