Default HELP PLEASE! Transmission problems!!

Hey all
I have a 1995 f150 5.0 2wd with auto trans

Recently my driveshaft dropped on my cuz it snapped at the u-joints and it twisted real bad and broke the tail shaft in my tranny
I got a new driveshaft and a used tranny from an early model 1997 an everything checked out mechanically and the splines were perfect
It's the 4r70w

Threw the new tranny in and it runs
I put it into drive and then when it shifts from 1st to 2nd is when it gets weird
The truck drops suddenly in rpms and it feels like something is almost pulling back on it and it is jerking forward and takes a lot of power to push through to 3rd and this happens slightly in 3rd but no where near as bad
My friend described it like when a newbie is in a stick shift and shifting from 1st to 2nd and didn't make a smooth shift so the car is kinda jerkin
Then when I start from 2nd gear and let off the break to take off the rpms drop significantly and the truck stars bogging out and wants to shut off and it has on several occasions when starting in 2nd
And when I punch it right off the bat in 2nd it grinds a little almost like it slipped or it stuck

When I got this tranny tho I threw in my old torque converter and already swapped my mlps bc the one this tranny came with was bad

I have 2 ideas of what could be the issue but I need suggestions or if anyone has had this problem
I have a feeling it could be the valve body (the pan that came on this tranny was pushed in and it cut a wire which I had to fix and bent the filter bad) or the torque converter I used from my old tranny got knocked out of balance after my driveshaft snapped

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!
-Andrew

If the pan and filter were crushed more in likely its the valve body. May have cracked it, and allowing to fluid to go in passages when its no suppose to. Check out clickclickracing.com ,, real good site for AOD/AODe/4r70w's
