Default Ordering parts question

Question for the Canadian forum members (although if you're not Canadian, I'll still take the advice )

I have a few things that need doing on the F150 and I'm looking into ordering parts online to try and save some money. Nothing needs to be done right away so I figured I could live with the shipping times. My question is, does anybody here in Canada do this, considering border fees from parts shipped from the states, and does anybody have a suggestion for online parts distributors that ship to Canada? I'm thinking ball joints and tie-rod ends, not LED's and fancy tail lights

Only thing that will be a pain is the shipping and border fees, not to mention how long it will sit at customs for till its actually delivered. Thats why I order my stuff to a warehouse in the states then go a cross the border to pick it up, and often don't ever pay anything at customs for it if its under 200$

Look for sellers with free shipping to Canada

Still super expensive with shipping. You pay 2x more than the part costs.

Summit and jegs, everthing gets here in an average of nine days, usually an extra postage fee from summit, basically shipping from the border to me, jegs shipping charge is always complete , try to order when the canadian dollar is up, and use your crappy tire master card, and get the points.

Well when you cross the border in Sault Ste Marie On, its literally across the ditch. St Marys river at its thinnest point is about 60 yards

Thanks for the input on Jeg's and Summit. I was wondering what their cross border shipping was like. I did manage to find an ebay "store" based out of Ontario with free shipping over $50. When I get a chance, I'll dig up the name and see if anyboady has had any dealings with them. I think I may stick with the big names, though...we'll see what the dollar says I guess
