yeah im sure, i look it up in a ECU list. The one I got is F3TF-ZB.
( for E4OD)


The one that came in the truck is F3TF-TA (manual)

I did but no codes come up when I install the correct ECU (F3TF-ZB).the CEL doesnt even blink it stays on.

But with the manual ECU, these codes come up-522, 553, and 565.

check to make sure the wiring harness that runs to the tranny isn't resting up against the exhaust anywhere. When I swapped my 5.0 in I originally had the E4OD tranny and it wasn't shifting worth a damn so I put in an AOD. Found out much later that the wiring harness for my tranny was resting on #4 header tube and it had burned through. Just a thought here

I would have to agree Sean the correct ECU for the truck is toast. Tell them you want a new one or one that has been proven working at least.
