Question HELP Please

Hello Everyone I am writing to you to ask for some type of help please!!! My man's father has a 87-89 Ford F150 and we think it has a bad fuel pump. However what we do not know is if it has one or two puel pumps on it. It does have two tanks but we don't know about the pumps.. I have searched for a diagram and everything to find out. I will have more info on it later tonight to help you help me!!! All I know now is that it is an automatic not 4 wheel drive and is an extended cab! Please let me know what you know thanks so much!

If it is an 87-89 then it has a fuel pump in each tank and a fuel pump on the rail.
It wasn't until 90 that they changed that (may even be 91 I haven't looked at our 90 F150 yet).

These are the three pumps out an '88 F150 reg cab longbox 2WD 302 EFI automatic. 2 lift pumps from the tanks and a high pressure pump from the left side frame rail

Usually you can hear the pumps on these trucks. I would listen by the frame rail one first. If you can't hear it then it is bad but then you need to check fuel pressure as that will tell you if they are giving enough pressure.

We are going to have him test the relay taking the yellow wire and touching the brown to check the electrical first!
