Default Help please

I just change the wires plugs cap and rotor.On a 96 F 150 5 .0.I did each wire one of the time So not to get them confused.What change in them I noticed the wires on the cap We're not the same as the wiring diagram under the hood.Now my check engine light is on.Says I have a misfire on six and seven.What should i do please help

Trace every one individually so that it matches the diagram up in front of your radiator.

I thought about doing that.But everything is way off I'm afraid it wouldn't run..lol

There are 2 different firing orders for 5.0.


I think you have the 5.0 HO like me


find that firing order and fix your wires


you have the wires mixed up

Okay where do I get the diagram for that at..Have a Chiltons But it gives the firing order thats Under the hood

The order under the hood should be correct...


Make sure you know what cylinders are where on the engine

Try running plug wire #6 under the other wires right off the cap and than over 7 and 8 going over the valve cover.
