well after a day of rest it won't start again. if i am using the cel as my code reader then I only need to jump the pigtail right? when it suddenly started the other day I actually created a vacuum leak to lean it out and it ran better. so I don't think that is the issue or it would have gotten worse. I am leaning towards a bad ecm.

Yes you only have to jump the pigtail, and I am leaning toward the bad ECM also.
