-----Help----- Leaf Spring Replacement.
Gonna give the Leaf Springs a new life outback, I put some tires on it this weekend and the Springs were broken, just fell out of the truck...
Question is what all do you replace with them? New Shackles? New Bushings? New U bolts etc?
I found a shop near my house that makes leaf springs and they have a set down there, $135 each side.
Just swap the springs straight forward maybe, never done this before?

What else you will need to replace along with the springs will depend on where the truck has spent it's life. I replaced the rear leaf springs on a '94 F-150 4X4 a few years ago and had to replace absolutely nothing but the springs.
Work careful and make sure you have adequate blocking under the frame when replacing the springs.

If your truck is like my 94, then you get to deal with the driver's side rear spring bolt - there is no way to get it out without dropping the rear tank or cutting it off and replacing it. Just a heads up.
