im 99% sure the 302 would bolt up to the 300 tranny but im telling you the 300 is a much stronger motor and has alot of low end tourque i would stick with the 300!!

Umm then i will probably just stay with the ole inline 6 i just know it has about 300,000 miles on it. And i got the truck for free from a friend and i think all i need are some spark plugs and a wiring harness and she should be in working condition

sounds like the usual problems. also i would change the spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor while your doing that. Also a seafoam treatment and check the timing. Probably a pcv change and filter change. Then it would really be running in tip top shape.

dude that truck will amaze you how long it will last trust me!! i wouldnt be suprised if you rack up another 2-300 thousand on that bad boy aslong as you maintain it and aslong as it was maintained!!

i sold my 300 like 2 or three years ago with 250+ on it and its still truckin man i see the guy who bought it all the time its up there in miles haha i keep tellin him its gonna be the million mile f150 lol!!

Im going to put some pictures on here tomorrow but the body is in great condition to be out in the weather for 3 years. no rust only one little dent The interior is good besides the door panels but it is in overall great condition just have to get her to run.lol

hey the 5.0 is a great motor, mines nice an torqy. my 5.0's got 384,000+ an runnin strong
