Thanks! And yeah when I bought it the guy said the check engine light is on because of the evap. I got 28 days to get it inspected so I'm trying to get everything out of the way

And does anyone know why that might be unplugged and should I plug it back in?

First step is to plug it in, take it for a drive, pull codes using a paperclip or short piece of wire (sticky at top of this forum) do KOEO and KOER just make sure to really read the instructions for the KOER test as there are things you must do at certain times in order for the test to work (brake, floor gas, maybe OD button?). Report back with any codes that you need help with. To clear the codes without erasing all of the stored driver data start the KOEO test and while the CEL is still blinking the codes pull the jumper wire/paperclip, this will erase all codes yet still leave the driver data.

Thank you I'll try that soon, and I have another question, my steering wheel sags, I can move it up and down and side to side, but if I let go of it the truck doesn't pull to the right or left it actually keeps going straight but driving it is a little scary

You need a new steering column most likely. They're not that hard to change once you get started. If it's auto, be careful not to break the little cable for the shift indicator - you have to disconnect it from the column before you unbolt the column from the dash.
That unhooked thing under the hood is EVAP, it redirects the vapours from the tank and burns them off (when it's a good time to do it).
You may need to get a new one or chase down something in that system. Not the end of the world, but you should get it fixed.
