headlights help

Default headlights help

Ive been trying to clean the headlights on my truck because they have moisture in them. It's a 95 XLT how do I get the headlights lense covers off to get the water out and clean them better

im interested too, i am wanting to take a set apart and see if i can make projectors or something.

Yeah I need to find out. The headlights on my truck aren't bright at all and its kind of getting bad. So I need to get them cleaned good.

The lenses don't come off normally. It's supposed to be a sealed unit with the front lens attached to the reflector housing, but it seems part of your seal has failed. You can remove the complete unit and try resealing the seam with "automotive" silicone sealer. Or you can replace the complete housing unit with an aftermarket one. I upgraded my truck with aftermarket assemblies I purchased on ebay. One afternoon and it was done and looks great. Search utube for a video describing removal.

depends what u want, just the stock headlights are like $40 bucks for both, for aftermarket clear replacements for all 6 its around $130.

im going with the 2nd thing, all 6 lights replaced with clear.

Not all come clear, and some have dark reflectors. Just do a search on ebay with your truck year.
