Default headers?

ok so I'm lookin to put headers and a true dual exhaust on my 87 single cab stepside 302

so I got a couple questions what kinda headers should I get and what's the best way to route the exhaust I wanna turn out right on front of the rear tires

your probly going to need to buy shorty headers, i bought the long tubes, and they fit on the motor but the only way i could run the exhasut was if it went under the cross member for the tranny, so yea, unless u want your exhaust hanging lower then your frame, go with shortys

that's what I thought cuz I didn't think there was enough room for long tubes thanks for the info man

I'm buying a pair of shorty headers soon too. Tell us how it goes.

What's the performance difference in shortys or long tubes?

shorties do better on the high end, long tubes better on low end.
