Default Hard to find?

I'm looking for a f150 and it seems like its hard to find. Did they make f150's with a 4.9L, 5spd, Extended Cab, Short bed, and 4wd? It seems like the only thing I come up with is with 5.0's and 5.8's. I can find plenty of Standard Cabs but very few extended cabs.

Thanks for the help!

I'm pretty sure Ford did make this combination, as I had a coworker with almost this same combination...except his had an automatic.

I'd imagine it would be fairly hard to find, because once you get to the level of equipment you describe, a dealer ordering trucks might assume that an automatic and a V8 would move faster off of the lot.

What part of the country are you in? If you are in California, 4x4 may be harder to come buy, if you search northern states that are more exposed to snow conditions, you may have better luck.

I'm in Oregon. So far I found 1. Its 8 hours away in Idaho. Its a '94 F150 for $2100. Not a bad price but I don't want to drive that far to find out its a piece of junk.

why not go with the 5.0 or 5.8 if they are easier to find?

Because 5.0 or 5.8 is not a 4.9! I wouldn't trade my 4.9 for a 5.0 or a 5.8 ever. I have a 94 xcab with the 5.0 and it runs good and is an okay truck, but IMO, the 5.0 and 5.8 did not come with the built in reliability and torque that the 4.9 has. I've been helping a friend of my son with his 94 5.8 xcab 4x4 with 120K miles on it and this thing is a never ending money pit. Now in his defense, it did have the egr and smog deleted which is a long term mistake and a nightmare for tuning. Every time one thing gets fixed, something else fouls up. I feel sorry for the kid since he spent his savings buying this truck and doesn't have the money to make all of the repairs. We're going to hit the salvage yard and find a smog and egr system and put the engine back together the way it's suppose to be and go from there. The only bad thing about the 4.9 is it's popularity and scarceness of salvage parts. Nobody gets rid of these engines and finding salvage yard parts is next to impossible in my area.

Um...the 5.0 and 5.8 have more torque and obviously HP than the 4.9...

4.9 L I6 1994–96 150 hp (110 kW)260 lb·ft (350 N·m)
5.0 L V8 1992–93 185 hp (138 kW)270 lb·ft (370 N·m)
5.0 L V8 1994–96 205 hp (153 kW)275 lb·ft (373 N·m)195 hp (145 kW) for automatic
