Default gutting cat

i have a 95 f150 with the 4.9. it has recently started running like ****, mostly when im doing a consistent speed. the engine with stutter untill i either let off the gas or press it harder. i was told this could prossibly be because of a clogged cat?
im just so lost. I anyone has any suggestions please help. or if anyone knows the best way to remove or gut the cat

You should check for codes before making any hasty decisions. Your symptoms sound a lot like my recent EGR nightmare. It could be a lot of things, and the computer will help take the guess-work out of it.
