Can anyone tell me how i disable the governor on my truck. It's an '88 F150 that i've had for the last year and done a few small modifications on. It govern's out at 98 mph and, personally, a little faster would be nice.

not sure on the older models. the newer ones will get rid of the limiter with a programmer. maybe an aftermarket chip?

 

its not a governor, its a speed limiter.

but yeah, i hated mine. racing on the highway sucked... lol never found out how to take it off though. they dont make many, if any chips for this gen. truck.
