you may get a slight increase at best. the stock ford tfi stuff is really good. the only time you need an msd ignition and coil is when you have boost, higher compression or nitrous. the reason that is, is because the thing that affects your sparks ability to jump the gap (in the cylinder) is combustion pressure. obviosly any of the three i mentioned above promote alot higher cylinder pressure. that higher pressure would "blow out" the stock spark like a candle. and if your not doing anything to increase the pressure its not needed.

anybody know the difference between the 8227 and the 5527?? i had the 5527 and didnt notice much difference but all my other 351 had was that coil, accel plugs and wires, msd cap and rotor and a KN filter...

the 5527 is for that new street fire igniton box they have. those boxes don't quite have the same spark energy as a regular 6al.

5527=street fire ignition
8227=6al ignition
