No timing chain to worry about. My buddy did it to his chev 400. You can buy noisy or quiet gear drives and to be honest I fun the noisy ones annoying like a power steering pump whining. He likes it though. To each their own

I had a set of the quite ones that i was going to use on my 351W build, but someone offered me twice what I paid for them so now they're his.

But even the quite ones have some noise to them. Like speed said i don't think I could take the noisy ones.

More accurate and longer life than the chain, they are not that expensive anymore. Just not practical.

I see what you mean now lol I was thinking of the drivetrain wise not timing.

Yea it seems like the noise would be ok at first but it probably would become annoying

not practical in Fuel Injection engines as they can set off the Knock Sensor and send ignition into Full Retard....

Simple fix is to unplug the knock sensor....and live with the code or just buy a good dual chain
