Default Gas Leak

I have a pretty serious gas leak when the engine is running. Not a drop when it is off, but a pretty rapid drip when it is running (line?). I have heard horror stories about dropping the midship tank but I don't have any buddies that are close or willing to help muscle the bed off. It is an 89 with an 8 ft. bed. Any easy suggestions? I was going to look at it over Thanksgiving but that turned into a water pump, outlet flange and thermostat, battery, alternator, solenoid, and one pain in the ***** starter job (total system crash). I don't know if I want to dive into a difficult job that's going to take her off the road seeing as though I just got her on the road again. Thanks

Why would you drop the tank if its just a line? Check the filter too maybe

ya check the lines and the filter. ive seen the line disconnect from the filter and it dripped and you just have to get a new line and filter if it is ripped. start the truck and see where the leak is, it may just be where a line disconnected.

it looks like its running from the middle of the top of the tank, down the seam, and then drips off the front inside corner. It only does this when its running. It is definitely coming from the top of the tank or that area.

Get yerself a flashlight and climb under there and take a look at the tank, you can see where the pump goes into the tank on the front, but ya gotta get up under there by the driveshaft, I'm guessin you've probably got a line cracked or one that just came loose off the pump on top of the tank.
