Ill try it out. Im sure my diffs, trans, and transfer all need to be serviced anyhow. I just didn't want to mess with the trans because I can't remember if it had a drain plug or not...if not, hello oil spill.

I currently have Penzoil High Milage in my truck. I'm still debating on synthetic ATF for my tranny. But will definitely go synthetic on one of the next 2-3 oil changes on the engine, still seeing about a quart a month either burning off or going out that tube to the airbox. Lol! I probably put only 800-900 miles a month on my truck, so that isn't bad, fill up twice a month with 24-28 gallons each time it takes in my daily driving in the city. And gonna put that Royal Purple in the diff since it doesn't need the friction additive that my H9 LS requires if I use conventional gear oil.

I started using it then I did the first oil change right after I bought the truck. I figured 256,000 qualified as high mileage.

I just seafoamed the other day, more like yesterday, (FANTASTIC smoke show...), and I noticed a power increase almost immediately... mileage will tell once I reach my magic 170 that used to be limit. (10mpg...) and fill it up again, and hope it needs less fuel. I do need to replace an exhaust manifold and probably my 02 sensor(s), but that's in a couple months...

Gas station wise, I've heard Texaco is one of the few stations that doesn't put ethanol in their gas. That's probably why they suggest it. I think half of my bad mileage was going to a station that offered cheaper cash prices than everywhere else, but I think they had a stick for either 10 or 15% ethanol. One or the other. Since I got my friday paycheck, I filled up elsewhere and seafoamed... and some lucas tranny oil. I'll let you know if speedway is another to stay away from xD

I usually use Shell or Bp. Occasionally Exxon, but prefer shell. Wilco Hess used to be cheapest and no ethanol here in Northwestern NC. But they started putting ethanol in theirs. So I quit theirs.

Cool, good to know that what I've been told is kind of true, I know my co-workers also said Shell and Chevron gas in the US is different than here in Canada. Not sure how different seeing as all stations I've been to in Canada state that 87 octane has at least 10% ethanol 90-91 octane has at least 5% ethanol and 93-94 octane states either 1-3% or 0% ethanol depending on the brand of station.

So far I have put 150 miles on the rear tank and it is showing half on the gauge. So it is almost right on par compared to the stuff I usually got here in Canada. It is noticeably quieter exhaust-wise and less get up and go since using 76 fuel. But milage is almost the same 18 mpg being about true average on Canadian fuel and if the numbers are correct it would be 16 mpg on this occasion. That is all that really matters I suppose.

Next fuel stop will be at Texaco for me in a bout 2 weeks, if it also nets 16 mpg, I think I'll just go back to getting fuel here in Canada. As I would always get 18 mpg minimum on whatever the grocery store I go to sells for fuel. Not entirely sure what company makes it either... 2 mpg loss really isn't worth saving $20-30-ish a fill up IMO.

Shell and Chevron are the only two companies that I know of currently on either side of the border, also I think Exxon owns Esso here in Canada, Texaco used to be here but isn't in BC at least. But no other chains I really know in the US, besides 76 because my ex always went there whenever we went to Seattle.
