Default Fuse for the speedo keeps blowing

My truck (1995 f150 4x4 5.8) speedo quit working, started shifting hard, and od light blinking. I changed the blown fuse that seems to often cause this and it worked great for a 30 min drive. I shut the truck off, fed my cows and went to drive the truck again and the fuse was blown again. It was a 15A fuse. Any ideas???

Sounds like a short in the circuit somewhere. Have you added anything lately or replaced something and spliced or added wiring? If you did, I would check that first, make sure everything is connected properly.

The dome light screws are a common problem that causes that fuse to blow. They contact the roof and short out.

I had the same problem. I put a 30a fuse in and wallah no more problems. The nice thing about having that fuse out tho is it doesn't count the miles your putting on your truck... Increase in resale value (if you feel the need to do such a sin.)
