Default Fuse keeps blowing

I have a 1990 f-150 XLT 5.8L 2WD. Just had the Transmission redone and now the fuse for the Turn-signals, backup lights and overdrive button keeps blowing as soon as you turn the key to on. I disconected evey connector going to the computer, tranny, and back to the rear lights and it still blows, so I disconected the steering colum "half moon" gray connector and it still blows. What else is there? Take the fuse block down and check it? Please help.

Thanks,
Andrew

Have you checked to make sure you have the proper size fuse in there, and not one rated too low on current?

A ground wire is exposed, look on the frame to the wirering harness. Thats my only guess. Good luck with it.

Start at the transmision, there could be somthing pinched where they had the tranny in and out, look at the end of the crossmember where the harness runs along the frame rail, as well.

If it wasn't doing it before the transmission was pulled chances are they pinched a wire or messed up a plug doing the job.
I would start at the transmission and crossmember and checked the wiring as suggested.

I measured from the output side of that fuse in the fuse box to ground and it is a dead short.
