Default Funny Shifting Issue

I am having a Shifting Issue in my 1994 F-150 that I havent been able to figure out. I havent seen the same issue on these forums yet, thats why I am posting.

Here is my issue. On long drives over 60 miles long or on rainy days I have an issue come up. While driving down the highway about 70mph after 60+ miles into my trip the check engine light will come on with no changes to performance. The Check engine light will go off, then I will lose power at the engine, the truck will not down shift out of 5th gear no matter what and i will loose speed quickly until I hit 55mph. At 55mph it will downshift 2 gears and i can get it back up to speed and everything seems normal again... for a few miles... But then the issue repeats itself.. check engine light comes on and off and then the rest of the issues. and continues to continue doing this on and off until i can pull off of the next exit and turn the truck off for a few minutes. Then once I restart my car I can drive for another 20+ miles before I happens again. Also when I pull off the highway before I can get to the gas station or where ever I stop, the truck shiftpoints wont be normal.... it will start off in 2nd or 3rd.. and take forever to speed up, and then will up shift around 2000 rpms to the next gear no matter how hard i Mash the gas.

The Check engine light does not stay on and I cannot get an error to read on the error reader.

This truck is my daily driver and rarely has this issue. Ive only had it twice happen to me in the past 6 months.

any ideas?
