Default full size spare

my 1995 that i just got didn't come with a spare tire. I assume it's supposed to be a full size spare, but wanted to double check before i buy anything. if i get a regular full size tire to use as a spare, will i be able to mount in the stock carrier?

thanks.

Yep, full size spare. I believe most all trucks have a full size spare. Its the cars that get the funny donut. My spare was never kept in rotation, so its good and meaty, while my tires are down to 1/4 life.

Went out to measure, and without my hidden hitch it looks like it'll fit up to a 36 inch tire. With my hidden hitch it looks like it'll only fit a 33. I have a 93 ext cab shortbed.

1995 F-150 Standard Equipment TIRES
P215/75R15 - Regular Cab 2WD
P235/75R15 - Extended Cab 2WD

The largest tire available from the factory for the 1995 F-150 4WD was
P265/75R15 (Special order # T7W and it included the same size spare)

Go to a Junk Yard to find a spare tire already mounted.

Check the bolt pattern
1967-96 F-150's have a 5 lug on 5.5" bolt pattern
.
(Except 1980-85 F100 2WD w/o Power steering & Power brakes)

(Up to 1996; the F-150 2WD and 4WD are the same bolt pattern)

1946-86 Jeep CJ rims will also fit your truck.

Hope this helps!

make sure the tire is the same size as your running or you could mess up your diff. make sure the bolt patterns match, and 2wd hubs are smaller so make sure the rim fits over your hub too

What? Since when are Fords hubcentric?

its not that they are hub centric just some wheels have the same bolt pattern and different hub holes...pretty much only if you find an aftermarket wheel somewhere

Most aftermarkets have a big hub to fit both Fords and Dodges.
