i have a 92 f150 with a 5.0 i just replced the fuel tank and fuel pump assembly and now the fuel pump wont work. the old one work like a champ when pulled. checked relay and fuse both good. the pump turns on when you switch the key to the on position and will run constantly when you jump it off the DLC. but i have no pressuure coming out of the tank/pump itself. does anyone know how to fix this problem my mind is boggled with this one? any help would be appreciated thanks

 

if the pump is running bt no pressure and it worked fine with the old pump, i'd say you got a bum pump. take it back.

or your fuel pressure regulator went out.

 

Did you happen to put any gas in it?

I had this happen to me. Mine was do to a faulty wiring instructions causing my pump to run backwards. I switched the two wires around and now it works.

 

Thanks jrh5610 that was the problem called the company I got the pump from and told them the problem. They said they will look into it
