Fuel pump?
Went out to the truck this morning to go to work and to my dismay it would not start. It turns over, but I do not hear the fuel pump come on at all, as I normally do when I turn the key. I'm hoping it's not the pump because I really don't feel like dropping the tank, lol. Someone suggested the relay to me, but I don't know where it is located. Can anyone tell me where the relay is or what else may be causing the problem? She's 1990 5.8
Thanks up front.
Thanks up front.
Get a good manual..Haynes and Chilton are made by the same company now so it won't matter. Your fuel relay is under the hood in the relay box on the driverside fender. Might also wanna check the inertia valve and make sure it hasn't been tripped.

As much as I'd like to use a hammer, I guess I will use my hand :sigh:

Under the passenger front kick panel by your feet is an inertia switch. It has a red button that pops up during impact. It may have been accidentaly tripped for whatever reason. The top of the kick panel should have clearance at the top where you can see if the Red buton is popped up. If it is, just press down to reset. If that's o.k. Check the fuse/relay. The relay should be in the large black plastic housing in the engine compartment. Not sure of the location but a '93 is right in front of the drivers side near the fender. c.j.
