Default Fuel Pump

This may be a stupid question, From what I understand long beds have 19 gallon front tanks and shortbeds have 16 gallon tanks, I have a shortbed and when the fuel pump went out I didn't pay attention and put a 19 gallon pump in. I have a starting issue where when its cold it cranks for ages before it lights off, Could the pump be my issue? if not do yall have any ideas to my starting issue?

FWIW, had a similar issue with mine being hard to start after sitting overnight or longer. Workaround solution was to roll the key from Off to On 2-3 times, allowing the fuel pump 2-second prime cycle to complete each time, before rolling on through to Start. Worked in my case, and never got ambitious enough to figure out the cause... No idea about any differences between the fuel pumps and tank size...

Fuel pump issue is exactly what you have. Very hard to start. My main pump on the frame rail was weak and once replaced it was a world of difference. Cranks instantly now
I would think the only difference in the fuel pumps for the 16 or 18 gallon tank would be the length might not reach the bottom of the tank and fuel Guage would be off. Check your fuel pressure

Of course, but probably not the way you think. What's the brand, PN, & source of the replacement pump?

It takes 5 things for a gas engine to run: air, fuel, compression, spark - each at the right TIME. Yours doesn't have at least one of those.
