Fuel problem
Hi, I bought a 92 f150 with the 351w. I started having fuel problems after 4 months or so of driving it. The truck started to sputter when stopping and sometimes would shut off in the middle of the road, other times it would surge and sound like I have a huge cam tune. It also will start up fine for about 2 seconds then die, if I give it some throttle after it starts for about 5 seconds it seems to run fine and idle after. I can hear the fuel pumps prime and run, this is happening on both tanks. Any suggestions what might be the cause? Could both pumps be bad, thanks!
You should put ALL the truck's details & history (as much as you know) into your signature so it shows with each post, as this page explains:

Phone apps don't always show signatures, so you may need to switch to a real browser in desktop mode on your phone, or just use a desktop/laptop computer. Put your location in your profile & upload an avatar of the truck. The more pics you post of the truck, engine, wiring, labels, & undercarriage, the more likely we can help you. Not all its details are relevant to these issues, but you don't necessarily know which ones are relevant, so just put everything in now.How did you determine that those symptoms have anything to do with fuel? Did you do some tests that you forgot to mention? What's the fuel pressure when it's running right? What is it when the symptoms appear?Of course - anything can be bad, and any number of things can be bad. But until you have some specific reason to think some particular part is bad, you're just guessing blindly.
