Crossfiring did cross my mind.

Which way should they be routed? I am sure mine are not right.

Be more descriptive? That was out of my "Photobucket" stash.

Guys, Thanks for the help!!!

ymeski56, I am sure you have seen this movie a 1,000 times, thanks for watching it agian. I will bet it won't be the last time you watch it either.

I do save all this information for my use, and just maybe I can pass it along to somebody else one day.

I went ahead and got new plugs (motorcraft standard copper core) last night while I was in town, so maybe the I can get them changed out today and the wires routed the right way if the rain stops.

I will post an update when I am done with the install and test drive.

As long as you click on the "Seafoam" links. Those are the ones that rack up the commissions!

Default Update.........

I changed the plugs, blew out the inside of the distributor, and routed the plugs wires this afternoon. Took it for a test drive and there is no change in the condition.

Pulled codes when I got back and here is what I got:

KOEO - 11

CM - 31 (EGR valve control sensor fault)

KOER - 13 (RPM at idle out of range/high)
44 (Thermactor air system fault)

Where to go from here?????

Disneyland? (100+ degrees today/ suggest putting that off till it cools off/ maybe work on your truck instead)

CM31- Clean the EVAP elect. connection & disconnect the battery for 5 mins to clear the KAM. Although present as a CM code, the lack of it as a KOER code suggests it is no longer an active code. But present as a CM could mean the sensor input has been locked out.

R44- The dual thermactor air control solenoid valve assembly consists of two normally closed solenoid vacuum valves (TAB and TAD), one controlling the thermactor air bypass valve and the other controlling thermactor diverter valve. Both are vented when de-energized and is sourced by the intake manifold vacuum reservoir and controlled by the EEC-IV system. Check & clean their elect. connections. Check Vac connections while your there. Do this also before clearing the KAM.

R13- May be collateral effect of the other codes.

Whats your warm curb idle RPM?

Static of erratic?

Checked base timing?
