Fuel injector cleaners ????

Do fuel injector cleaners really work and if so what kind and should you add more than the bottle says ?

I have never used injector cleaners, but I've heard that Lucas fuel injector cleaner is pretty good. If you think your injectors are going bad I would buy a set of refurbished ones off ebay for 80 bucks.
