Fuel Gauge problem?
Hey guys been working on fixing my issue of my fuel gauge reading empty. I replaced the sending unit and fuel pump in the rear tank because the pump and sender were both bad and I have yet to replace the sender in the front tank. Now that I have replaced the sender in the rear I can switch tanks and the gauge will move but it will only go from empty to maybe 1/6 of a tank even with the sender float at full. Is there a known issue with the fuel gauge going out or should I just replace the sender in the front tank and see if it has the same issue. I've double checked all the wiring and I wired it correctly. Any help is appreciated or if anyone knows a way i can double check the sender to make sure I didnt get a lemon.
Alright guys both senders have been replaced and now the front tank is reading about 1/8 of a tank and its nearly full while the rear is reading about the same. There is movement when switching tanks its just delayed and not much at all. Could this be a grounding issue or is it just the fuel gauge?
