Default front tank fuel pump

So I just changed my front tank fuel pump because my sending unit was bad and figured might as well go ahead and do both since the price was close to each other. My question is I easily changed it with out lifting the bed or dropping the tank. Even though the tank was close to empty and I haven't filled it up yet do yall think it was a bad idea to change it like that? Everything went in smooth and took maybe 10 minutes.

As long as it's properly seated more power to you. Most people need more room to work with and depending on tank size it may not be possible on some tanks where as others can be done this way.

You are lucky if you didn't have to drop it or remove the bed if you have a stock bed.

That is why our 92 F250 and 89 F250 have flatbeds sitting slightly higher so that I can change pumps/sending units with ease and not have to drop the tank.
