Front tank doesnt work-image-1905918561.jpg

Definitely the 5.0, I'll check out the electrical however it seems most likely the pump huh? $130 isn't bad. Never dropped a tank before though should be fun

But not to difficult to fix and cost me about $130.00 for the fuel pump assembly and I went ahead and spent another $20.00 for a new fuel filter.
How hard is it to do?

I've heard that removing the bed makes it much easier and while your at it, replace the back one. It's probably due also. just saying!

The front tank was pretty easy to change on my truck without taking off the bed. but I drained the tank with an extra fuel pump that I had ( you want it empty) and also the underside of my truck was pretty clean and rust free (pretty rare for '87'). Removing the bed does give you better access to both tanks without draining them, but for me I was on my own so I choose option #1. :-)

Good Luck!

So I crawled under to take a look and see what I'll need to drop the front tank and change the fuel pump and I noticed the rear tank seems to have a leak under one of the straps, not dripping but definitely leaking. How would you fix that?

Guess I've got to fix the front first before I can tackle that one, I'm wondering once that strap comes off if it isn't bigger than it seems. I've got some JB here I'll try that I guess as long as its not real big.
