Default front brakes locking/squealing

Just had the front brakes/rotors replaced and the are now squealing and locking up on a hard stop. The new rotors were machined and the brakes were installed with new disc brake kits. The squealing could be the brakes rubbing on the rotors.... will this dissipate with time? For the locking up could the rears need adjustment? Thanks in advance.

What did the calipers look like...sounds like they are not releasing properly...installing cheap pads will produce a squeal, but regardless they shouldn't lock up...

Either that or the pads could be contaminated with brake fluid?

you will have a more firm pedal if you adjust the rear. Will stopping in reverse actuate the automatic adjusters?

unless the brakes were sticky prior to doing the front brake job...adjusting the rears will not do anything.

Very true, the el' cheapo pads typically have a very hard composition, such as the 20-$40 autozone lifetime warranty pads, and they plain suck so hard they can make golf ***** go up garden hoses. A good brake pad will be soft enough to "bite" into the rotors/drums.
