Default Front axle seal

Tonight my front right axle seal started dripping bad it had a slow leak before like they all do but its probly gonna be out of brand new gear oil i just put in. Is there anything i can put on the outside to stop it cause im not gonna take it all apart and ill proy just run it dry. I have no idea why it started but wish i knew.

it probably started because the shaft its self has a groove worn in it, when I was runnning the f250 front TTB, mine was like that and i had to order a sleeve that slipped over the axle so the seal had a good smooth surface to ride on.
