Default Filler neck help ???

I drop my rear tank to change the pump and in the process I broke the inner plastic hose inside the rubber hose, I thought that I meant nothing but I was wrong. When I go to fill it up it just leaks from the top of the tank is there a way around this without having to buy another neck

if you want to do the job once do it right the first time. I replaced mine this last summer. Used ones can be found on ebay. I believe i bought an aftermarket one. Spectre might have made it. Its like 50-70 dollars i think. You have to search around to different parts websites online to find the best price, some will charge near 100-150 for the same part.

The inside hose is the one the gas goes in through. The outer one allows air to come back for when you're filling up and dumping a lot of gas in fast. You have to have the inner hose.
But it still shouldn't be leaking at the top of the tank. Are you sure you got that hose clamp tight ?

Could be that your old outer hose is too hard to conform to it's new position.

My advice, buy a new one. Yes, $100 is $100, but that won't matter if you're back under there again and again and again trying to band-aid it together.
