F150 newbie
Hi guys,
Just got my very first F150 in a trade. Not only the my first F150 but my first truck and Ford all together. I have no experience with trucks or Fords. I'm a F-body guy. Anyway, a couple questions. It's a 1995 Flareside with 351W
When the rear tank gets to a 1/4 tank the truck starts stalling and will die out. It wont start till more gas in put in it. I was thinking maybe trash or fuel pump weak at lower levels? Another tidbit is once it gets above 1/2 tank you have to pump slooowly or backsplashes out. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but it's weird. (New fuel filter on it)
If you do think its a fuel pump, which brand do you suggest? For my F-bodies I go Racetronix but I don't know on this.
THanks for the help in advance, I'm sure you all will see me around alot now that I'm a Ford Tough guy now.

I guess I would be wondering if there really is any gas in there even if it shows 1/4.
Maybe your tank vent isnt venting. If its not working the tank wont vent as you fill and as the tank sucks down a vacuum is created which doesn't let all the fuel out. Assuming your level sender is good.
When it gets to a down to a quarter tank and doesn't want to run. Take the gas cap off and see if it runs then.
