Default Exhaust system

Hey guys!

I have a 90 f150 5.0

all it has is a muffler on it, nothing more.

would it pass emissions in PA?

i know because it dosent have a complete exhaust it wouldnt pass inspection, but would it pass the computer part of emissions?

if not how could i make it pass?

If it doesn't have either catalytic converters, it won't pass. You need to install new cats on it, either OEM spec or after market.

The cats are collecting all the smog. Without them you will never pass. You are probably missing the air injection system too with will get you a fail.

I have one and a pipe in in place of the second with a bung welded in in for the o2 sensor and passed in Ak.

Federal law states that you are not allowed to remove any smog equipment. In some states you can replace them with aftermarket parts that are 49 state legal. I would recommend checking the laws with your states motor vehicle web site ( not some guy online ) before wasting time and money. If you read the law yourself you know for sure.

Lol that there is funny. By the way infantry that post wasn't aimed at you if that's what you thought. It's just at the general internet. A lot of people claim to know different laws. The only way to know is to look up the laws. It's not much harder than searching any other web site and you know its true.
