Exhaust for 5.0
#21
i was just wondering if anyone knew which would be a better sound for my truck? its a 1992 with a 5.0 and i was stuck between the cherry bomb pro series muffler (the one i want) and my dad thinks i should go with the vortex muffler... but i want the one that is going to give me the more aggressive/deeper tone... and i think that is the pro series, am i correct/should i go with this model? any feedback would be very much appreciated!

go to advance auto parts and get a thrush 2 chamber welded muffler 30-40bucks and sounds great.....i just cut the larger cat off of my truck and had the muffler place in town make me a 48in long piece of 3 inch pipe....they flared the end to go over the y pipe and then shrunk it down to 2.5in to go into the muffler....i have a total of about 50bucks with all the clamps and everything and it sounds great......sounds a lot like my 90mustang that i had

Check these out. I have the 5.8 with headers, no cats, with true dual thrush glasspacks.

Dude, If you put dual flowmasters 40s on that bitch It will be loud. I actually had the catback system on my truck and it wasn't lound at all I actually went to straight pipes cause it alot louder.

dynomax has two different part numbers for 302 and 351 headers so i'm not sure if my headers will work for you but i have a true dual exhaust for long tube headers. is got o2 bungs in the collectors, h-pipe two 40 series and two 3 1/2 tips out the side just like a lightning.
