Default exhaust

Okay after much time thinking about it I think I have found how I am going to do my exhaust but wanted input on it first. first off I have a 4.9 300 it has a CAT coming off the downpipe and from there the exhaust leads into a resignator and then it has about 5-6 inches of pipe then it hits another resignator.I plan on taking the CAT off and welding a pipe in its place and taking the second resignator off and welding pipes up that way I can make it 3 inch pipping from the resignator all the way back. so what do you guys think? any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks
-Mark

I think you should hollow the cats out and put them back on so it looks like they are still there. It gives the truck a different sound also.

yeah maybe I will hollow it out since you say it give it a different tone but for apperance I don't have to worry because they did away with emissions here in Ohio about 2-3 years ago how do you suggest going about hollowing it out i've never done it just gut it? lol

I cut mine off at the dual section and unbolted it at the single section. I had a piece of rebar that I kept stabbing at it until it was empty. You can probably use a broom stick. Make sure you get it all or it will clog it up later. Weld it back on and you're done.
I say to leave it on because here if a cop looks under your truck and sees it's gone he can write you a ticket. It may be the same there, and emissions tickets aren't cheap.
