exaust
Schucks, just run straight pipe from the exhaust manifold to the tailpiece without a cat or muffler.
If this does not meet your needs then go with a header and no exhaust tubing with the exception of a 3' piece for the O2 sensor bung or get a header with the bung pre-installed.
Boon
Any straight through muffler or straight pipe on the 300 sounds like a pissed off bee. 40s sound best on the 4.9.
I like the sound of a straight 6. In fact, I like everything about it. I was looking for one when I bought mine, but no luck. Ended up with the 302. Both great motors, but I was looking forward to owning the 4.9.
Hello and good morning.
I did not know what you meant. If you do not provide correct information/symptoms then do not expect to receive any help from the guys/gals on this Forum. There is a lot of difference between a V-6 and an I-6!

If you are keeping the Cats and they are not "gutted" then regardless of what you use for a muffler you will only notice a minimal difference in sound which, when I read your posts, is not what you are seeking.
Please provide all necessary intel so that the members can help you achieve your goals.
